FARS applications

By opting to learn more about firefighter air replenishment systems (FARS), you’ve taken an important first step in increasing the odds of survival for you and your brothers and sisters in the fire service.

FARS are air replenishment systems built in to complex structures like mid- and high-rises, tunnels and large “big box”- style buildings where the delivery of replacement air to firefighters presents significant logistical challenges.

FARS works like a water standpipe, but carries life-saving air. Firefighters can replenish their air canisters in less than two minutes, under full respiration, at fill stations located throughout a building.

Just as hoses replaced hand buckets as a delivery system for water, FARS replaces the bottle brigade that lugs replacement air deep into structures or up numerous flights of stairs.

It delivers instant air, right where you need it, when you need it.
